A multi currency mortgage is a mortgage secured against a property (in the U.K.) and denominated not just in sterling (£'s), as per a typical mortgage but also in US Dollars, Euros, Swiss Francs and Japanese Yen amongst other currencies.
This allows you, the borrower the opportunity to benefit from lower interest rates and also reduce the balance of your mortgage by engaging in switching between the different currencies at the right time, as the values rise and fall.
